Welcome! 

My name is Ren Farrar - you can call me Ren or Willie, a nickname I earned as a young boy growing up in Delta Junction, Alaska, hauling firewood as a daily chore. My dad is a carpenter and woodworker, and I grew up working with him in the shop, and building/remodeling each of the several houses we moved into over the years. From my teens, 20s and 30s, I have worked in almost all phases of construction, and now at 47 I am refocusing on custom woodworking from my home shop in Ventura CA.

I welcome the challenge of creating commissioned pieces, bringing your personal style and design needs together in creative and unique ways. I also create a variety my own one-off pieces for sale. My work has an emphasis on domestic and exotic hardwoods in clear finishes that respect the natural beauty of the wood. I prefer to avoid hardware where possible and put the extra effort into joinery and creative, all-wood solutions instead.
